Was intrigued by the premise & the first part of the book, but by midway feel it had denigrated into dissing people of faith, and humanity in general. Skimmed the last half to see how it ended, and found it to be such a downer. Don't waste your money!

I really enjoyed this book! There were parts in the story that were funny, and parts that made me go hmmm. All in all, I loved this book very much!!

What a great book. I picked it up because of the title and pleasantly surprised by the story. I would love to read more about these characters and see a sequel.

I note that the previous reviewers of this book are all women. They loved it. I was indifferent about it. Another high concept book that just did not delve deep enough into the subject matter. The moral arguements are there but glossed over fairly quickly. The action sequences are pretty short and the suspense just was not there. I would compare this to the writing style of the Twilight series. Seems like this might have been targeted toward a more young adult audience. Not a bad book, just could have used a little more filling out.

I was not familiar with this author and this sounded almost too sci-fi for me, but I gave it a try and I am so glad I did. What a wonderful, wonderful story, very believable with characters I cared about. I will read more from this guy.
