Recycling Projects for the Evil Genius

What do flower pots, soap, birdhouses, piñatas and scarecrows have in common? All these are among the many familiar things that you can create with recycled materials. In Recycling Projects for the Evil Genius, Russel Gehrke explains how to create a wide variety of environmentally friendly items using ordinary materials and tools, for your own use or to resell for profit.

Detailed, step-by-step directions show you how to make your own wafer board-style plastic lumber, an ideal material for building a backyard birdhouse; how to construct paver bricks out of recycled asphalt shingles; and how to create a wall or raised-bed garden out of concrete papier-mâché. (We are also shown how the same material can be used to make numerous other items, including a flower pot, decorative bowl, birdbath, stepping stone walkway and even a tabletop.)

Solar energy fans will learn how to create a solar-powered plastic bag composter and solar-powered compost tea brewer. Further along, Gehrke explains how to create a variety of cleansers, including soaps, surface-cleaner sprays, a glass cleaner, and a toilet bowl cleaner. We even see how to create a cleaner from citrus fruit enzymes. Want to use recycled aluminum foil to quick clean your BBQ grill? Or build a scarecrow from recycled CDs? Or make a planter from egg cartons? You’ll find out how easy it can be. In addition to instructions and plenty of photographs, each of the nearly 80 projects in the book comes with lists of necessary materials and (when appropriate) safety precautions.

From household cleaners to laundry soap, from a solar-powered composter to garden-friendly charcoal, Recycling Projects for the Evil Genius lets you go green while keeping more green in your wallet.

This is the most lame book I have EVER oicked up. Recycling projects for the Evil Scientist? More like for the complete moron!! It said that for a cool way to recycle a tire into a swing, you have to hang it by a rope. In the words of Carlos Mencia- de! de! de! How very moronic. ...and it doesn't improve froom there either.
